I was born in Weston, Ontario, October 15th, 1954, at the height of Hurricane Hazel.
This whirlwind entry into the world might also explain my work history. Besides writing I have also worked as a dishwasher, farm labourer, soldier, movie extra, youth outreach worker, armoured truck guard, men's shelter manager, martial arts instructor, supply teacher, resort chef and stay-at-home parent. As a reviewer for Canadian Book Review Annual and editor of Canadian Children's Books, I have reviewed more than 1,000 books. http://pages.interlog.com/~cbra/.
